Our Vision & Mission
The mission of GraceLife Church is to love God, to love others, and to magnify the name of Jesus Christ. The vision of our church is to glorify our God and Savior, Jesus Christ, to make true disciples throughout all the nations by means of missionary activity and support, to minister the ordinances, to edify believers, and to do all that is sovereignly possible and biblically permissible to magnify the name of Jesus.
Here are answers to some frequently asked questions
How Do I get to the GraceLife Church?
What are your service times ?
Sunday WednesdaySunday School: 9:30 AM Life Training Classes: 7:00 PM
What should I expect at a typical Sunday morning worship service?
The “order” of the service is much like any Protestant church. Prayer, Scripture reading, choir and congregational singing (“praise and worship”), special music, offering, sermon, call for congregation response in salvation, healing, etc. What you may find unique to GraceLife Church is what we have come to call “freedom in worship.” Nothing is contrived, nothing is “scripted.” We believe that the Holy Spirit is to be honored and welcomed into each service where He can convict of sin and bless and strengthen the worshippers. Where will my children go during the service?
Your children will love GraceLife Church! We provide fun, hands-on Bible lessons and activities every Sunday morning designed especially to help them learn the truths of the Bible. We also provide a safe, cozy nursery for infants through 27 months. Our children’s ministry leaders are parents just like you who value all children and treat them with the utmost care and attention.
What are your basic beliefs?
We are a Pentecostal denomination basing our distinctive beliefs on the Old Testament prophecies in Joel 2 and the experiences of the first century church as found in Acts, especially chapter. 2. We are Holiness. We trace our holiness beliefs and practices to the teachings of John Wesley who believed that the Holy Spirit can and will empower the Christian to live a holy life style. 3. We are Missional. We believe that the Spirit-filled Christian has been given gifts, power and the commandment to share the Gospel of Jesus with a needy, dying, sinful world. We are an evangelical church which provides opportunities to go out into the world and share the good news that Jesus saves. We provide opportunities to bring the world to our campus through specifically focused community activities. 4. We are Family. We believe that the Church is the family of God and, as such, we provide cross-generational ministry “from the cradle to the grave.” Many planned activities during the year are designed specifically for the entire family unit. What is the preaching like?
At GraceLife Church, it is our sincere desire to share God’s Word in all its truth without watering anything down, but to do it in love, and in ways that are interesting, engaging and relevant to your daily life. While the Bible certainly does convict us of our sin in order to point out our lost condition, the overarching theme of the entire Bible is God’s unconditional love for all humankind, as is shown by God sending His precious Son, Jesus, to pay the price for our sin. If you attend one of our services, you will hear the truths of God’s Word presented passionately, clearly, and lovingly in ways that will make sense to you. But why not find out for yourself? What kind of music do you have?
This is a common question. We believe that God has inspired people throughout the ages to write hymns and songs of praise and that He continues to inspire musicians from all generations to write music that praises Him and brings glory to His name. We believe that styles of music are more a matter of personal preference than anything else. You will hear a great mix of new and old music – plenty of songs you know and love; popular contemporary Christian music, original compositions, old gospel favorites, and some traditional music. The focus of all of our worship services is to bring glory to God and to support and encourage all worshippers in their journey of faith. Will I have to stand up in front of people?
Some churches call on their visitors to stand up during the service and introduce themselves. While the people at GraceLife Church are genuinely interested in getting to know you and make you feel welcome, we will never call on you or embarrass you in any way. You can relax and enjoy meeting people at your own pace.
Do I have to dress up?
No, you don’t. We encourage people to dress comfortably. For some, that may mean dressing up, but for most it simply means wearing casual clothes. The New Testament simply instructs us to dress modestly and decently, so we do not burden people unnecessarily by requiring them to dress up in fancy clothes they do not normally wear just to “go to church.” We want everyone to come, be comfortable, and enjoy learning about God together.
Do I have to be a member to participate?
At GraceLife Church you do not have to be a member to participate in ministry functions. We offer many events and festivals to the community and encourage participation by all members and non-members alike.
How do I become a member?
Membership classes are offered at various times a year. They are announced in advance in the church bulletin and all new comers to GraceLife Church are encouraged to participate.
